Access Services helps students blend what they know about themselves with appropriate accommodations to reduce barriers to learning. We strive to create an environment that empowers and supports students to reach their academic goals.
The college has a long history of serving students with a wide variety of disabilities, working to ensure each student has the reasonable accommodations and services they need to enjoy academic success. We can provide assistance on our main campus and at all of our regional locations.

The ACCESS Center promotes equal access and educational opportunity for students with disabilities and provides services to students attending UW-La Crosse who have a documented disability.
ACCESS Center staff will meet with students and - based on documentation - determine appropriate academic accommodations to help you accomplish your academic goals and give you the support you need through graduation.

Lakeland University (located in rural Sheboygan County) launched the Life and Career Studies program in fall 2023.
This inclusive, postsecondary education program (or IPSE) offers a personalized approach to the college experiences for students with intellectual and other disabilities who may not be able to access college through the traditional academic route, but who would still benefit from all of the growth, maturity, and life skills that are learned while attending college. The program includes direct instruction in life skills - independent living & community engagement, career exploration through cooperative education employment experiences, and a little inclusive academic coursework to further future career opportunities.
